hydrating breakfast for petunia

i didn't mean to keep the cats outside long-term. I just meant provide a space for them to be able to be outside. I'm worried that ladybug's scratching at the window like that is honestly zoochosis and she's only done it since we've lived here in San Antonio. in Baltimore we had by happenstance a lovely little lot in the back and that had a tree that she just adored and so she had her kittenhood just playing on the tree. she instinctively knew not to leave the little lot we had but I also would watch her. it was fenced in so I know she misses that. we've lived in San Antonio for a year and she hasn't had any opportunity to really be outside. we live right next to a highway and there are coyotes near us as well. I always need to look out for hawks for the chickens so realistically it's just not safe for the cats to be outside. I'm going to be making a lot more indoor shelves for them and maybe even a cat wheel.

For petunia I was talking about her eating habits. she didn't know how to eat when we got her in June 2025. she was previously kept in someone's garage. they kept her for entertainment and only fed her unhealthy human food as well as bottle fed her long past the need to. so she she couldn't feed herself and didn't know how to seek out water when she was thirsty. she could hardly even stand, she was so overweight. she had trouble walking. she couldn't lift her head and so they rehomed her pretty much at the perfect and worst time just because I don't know how much longer she really would have been able to live like that. she's only 2 years old but now she's like two and a half. now she's definitely in love with vegetables. she loves drinking her water. she knows how to seek out her water on her own now, but I do fill up her food with water just because we live in South Texas and hydration is key to staying safe outside
