You might see “Purchase with Purpose” around our shop, and we want to be clear about what that means. It’s a reminder that every purchase has an impact, serving as a tool for global health by empowering local lives and ecosystems, or as a means of destruction. We invite you to think before you buy, because every purchase should have a purpose.

All our graphic designs are created by Groovy Paradox founder, Vanessa Hoo. The items in this collection are then brought to life using a more sustainable business model called Print on Demand (POD). This means products are only printed and produced when you place an order, eliminating the massive waste from overproduction and excess inventory that plagues the traditional manufacturing industry.

We intentionally partner with a diverse network of third-party providers to navigate the ethical challenges of mass production. This diversification mitigates the sustainability issues associated with relying on a single source, giving us the freedom to get rid of a partner if their values no longer align with ours or if we find a better alternative. This strategic approach allows us to select the best products and most responsible printing practices for each design, while supporting multiple companies that are actively working to improve their environmental impact.

Here is a closer look at our partners and their commitments to a more sustainable future:

Printful: Printful is an industry leader in sustainability. They take a multi-faceted approach to reduce their carbon footprint, most notably by distributing their fulfillment centers globally. Their data shows that 80% of their orders are fulfilled in the same region they are shipped to, which significantly reduces carbon emissions from transportation. They also have a dedicated eco-friendly product collection, defining an item as "eco-friendly" if it is made with at least 70% organic or recycled materials.

Printify: As a large network of print providers, Printify's greatest strength is its ability to facilitate local fulfillment. This decentralized model ensures that your product is created by the closest available partner, drastically cutting down on shipping distances and the associated carbon footprint. Printify has also publicly committed to assessing the environmental impact of its entire supply chain and setting ambitious goals for a greener future. They provide us with a wide range of products made from sustainable materials like organic cotton and recycled fabrics.

Printkk: Printkk is a partner that is directly focused on the climate crisis. They have partnered with Stripe Climate to donate a portion of their revenue to support new carbon removal technologies. Their business model is centered on the core principle of POD—reducing waste by only producing what is ordered. They emphasize the use of eco-friendly materials and sustainable production in their manufacturing processes and actively support Made in USA products, which reduces the carbon footprint associated with long-distance shipping.
