a living manifesto

my life and work are a direct response to a fundamental truth: today, a focus on healing barely exists in our world- while exploitative structures are in high demand. i am a testament to this reality, earning a master of science from utsa at 22, only to face conditional homelessness by 25. today, i'm 26 and learning how to be happy i was born. this is truly what it means to live the american dream.

my body is another living example of these fractures. i have osdd and dissociative cptsd, which are drastic nervous system responses to complex trauma that society normalizes and neglects. the pain and twists in my spine from scoliosis are a powerful, physical representation of the disconnection these systems create and our overall lack of communal support. now, ten years after a surgery that severely restricts movement, my curves have returned- a constant reminder that isolated actions without communal healing only create more pain. yet, in this pain, i've found my purpose: to inspire others to understand that our bodies are ecosystems just as important as the larger natural systems outside of us- not the false manmade systems of control we are busying ourselves obeying.

groovy paradox as a revolution of radical connection and love

this is not just my story; it is a shared collective experience of oppression of the innate right to simply exist. groovy paradox is combating this by building an additional path of healing through sustainable, creative collaboration. my work is an ongoing journey of fluidity, a learning of radical love. as a multidimensional being, i continuously strive to weave my everchanging passions and skills into a single, cohesive mission.

• the art of a new reality: as a graphic designer, published poet, and artist, i believe words and images can create the blueprints for a new reality. this is a form of manifestation, a way to visualize a world where all earthlings are treated with respect and where our inherent interconnectedness is celebrated. creative work is an act of resistance against systems that seek to confine our imagination and varied existences.
• apothecary & ancient knowledge: i am guided by a wonder and pure love for the natural world. this is the foundation of our apothecary. as an active member of the alamo area beekeepers association and with my work as a satori garden guide, i aim to be a modern-day alchemist, stewarding, healing, and collaborating with the land. i believe nature is always the most sustainable and efficient guide. this work is an act of reciprocity, a way to build a new world in partnership with the Earth.
• community as a network of support: my background as a program coordinator and content developer is in the art of collaboration. the pollinator power stations in baltimore and our backyard sanctuary in texas are more than just creative efforts; they are a physical network of healing. they are evidence that when we connect with each other and with the earth, we build a new system of our own.

OAKE magick

the intuitive wisdom of a fairy guides in nature, and the transformative power of fairy magick are the symbolic forces that create the OAKE philosophy. each word is a guiding principle for a sustainable revolution of radical love:

oneness is the understanding that we are all reflections of each other. on a global scale, it is the fundamental truth that how we treat the natural world directly impacts us and all earthlings.

awakening is an ongoing act of learning through intentional experiences with nature. it is a continuous journey of remembering what we have forgotten, and allowing the natural world to be our teacher.

kindness is the creative act of building and maintaining bridges of connection between ourselves, our communities, and the Earth. it is a strong, gentle power that dismantles systems of isolation.

Earth is the keeper of ancient knowledge and the ultimate source of wisdom. as earthlings, humans are not owners but stewards- we are here to listen, learn, and collaborate with the natural world.
